âLagos is sinking. One day, water will carry people away if nothing is doneâ – Designer Tiannah Empire raises alarm

.....
Nigerian celebrity designer Tiannah Empire (Toyin Lawani) has sparked reactions after expressing concerns over flooding and infrastructure in Lagos State.
In a video, she claimed that continuous land reclamation, sandfilling and large-scale developments across the state are worsening flooding because proper drainage and canal systems are not being put in place.
She argued that projects such as Eko Atlantic and other major developments have displaced water rather than properly managing it, warning that more communities could be affected if the issue is not addressed.
