Akande-Sadipe denies evading the court process in Oluyole APC primary dispute

Member representing Oluyole Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Honorable Tolulope Akande-Sadipe, has denied allegations that she is evading service of court papers in the legal dispute arising from the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the constituency.

Akande-Sadipe, in a statement issued on Sunday, described the allegation, reportedly made by Mr Abiodun Gbolagade, as false, misleading and politically motivated.

She said reports claiming she had gone into hiding or vacated her residence to avoid being served court processes were untrue, insisting that she remains at her residence and continues to carry out her legislative responsibilities.

The lawmaker also stated that her constituency office remains open and fully operational.

“The allegation that I am avoiding court processes is entirely false, malicious and irresponsible,” she said, adding that the claims were aimed at misleading APC members and the general public.

Akande-Sadipe further dismissed suggestions that she refused to accept court documents, noting that issues relating to the service of court processes are matters for the court to determine and should not be litigated in the media.

She said the dispute over the APC primary election is already before a court of competent jurisdiction and declined to comment on the substantive issues in the case out of respect for the judicial process.

The federal lawmaker urged APC leaders, members and supporters in Oluyole Federal Constituency to remain calm, law-abiding and committed to the progress of the party, expressing confidence that due process and the rule of law would prevail.

Reaffirming her commitment to effective representation, Akande-Sadipe said she remains focused on delivering constituency projects and interventions in education, healthcare, road infrastructure, water supply, rural electrification, youth and women empowerment, humanitarian support and other development initiatives.

She added that the people of Oluyole Federal Constituency are familiar with her record of service and expressed confidence that “truth, justice and due process” would prevail in the matter.
