The Ondo State Commissioner for Regional Integration and Diaspora Relations, Otunba Wale Akinlosotu, has congratulated the Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, on the successful conclusion of the 2026 National Diaspora Day celebrations.

Akinlosotu commended Dabiri-Erewa for her exceptional leadership, unwavering commitment, and sustained advocacy for the welfare and meaningful engagement of Nigerians in the diaspora.

He said through her dedication and passion, she has continued to strengthen the relationship between Nigerians at home and abroad.

He said she was also creating opportunities for greater collaboration between the diaspora community and all levels of government in support of national development.

According to him, the successful hosting of this year’s National Diaspora Day celebrations, with a focus on health, further demonstrates her commitment to harnessing the knowledge, skills, and expertise of Nigerians in the diaspora for the benefit of the country.

Akinlosotu particularly applauded the Diaspora Health Impact Initiative (DHII), which brought together diaspora medical professionals from across the globe to undertake medical missions in states across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.

He described the initiative as a significant demonstration of the impact that diaspora engagement can have on communities and national development.

He further praised Dabiri-Erewa’s tenacity, vision, and capacity to bring Nigerians together around a shared commitment to national progress, describing her leadership as a source of inspiration to many.

He wished for her continued strength, wisdom, and greater accomplishments as she remains at the forefront of efforts to deepen diaspora engagement and advances the interests of Nigerians living around the world.
