Nigeria reduced the deficit a few minutes later to make the scoreline more respectable.
Uwejamomere Eboboritse’s side will take on Australia in their second game on Wednesday.
The tournament forms a key part of the Golden Eaglets build-up to the WAFU B U-17 Championship in September.
The competition will serve as the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations.
