Gbajaniamila: I’m sick, on medication – Adeyemi breaks silence on PFIPC controversy

Acclaimed Director General of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, PFIPC, Adeyemi Matthew has broken his silence after the presidency disowned the agency.

DAILY POST reports that Adeyemi, who claimed to be the DP of a purported PFIPC, recently accused President Bola Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajaniamila of involvement in an alleged appointment-for-cash scandal.

Adeyemi alleged that Gbajabiamila demanded N27.4bn from the take-off grant of a purported agency and collected N400m, through proxies, to secure his appointment as director-general of the agency.

But the presidency, in an official statement on Wednesday by Bayo Onanuga, denied the claim, stating that the accuser and the purported agency are unknown to the government.

Speaking with Channels TV on Thursday night, Adeyemi insisted that he was duly employed and was issued an appointment letter.

He, however, said he is currently unwell and has chosen to take care of himself for now.

“I have a letter of appointment, but I can’t give you details since the matter is in court.

“However, I am sick, I’m on medication today and I’m trying to take care of myself.”
