Horror as children as young as 2 locked in washing machines at nursery

Children as young as two-years-old were allegedly locked in washing machines at a nursery. Police have launched a search for five women suspected of abusing the children after videos surfaced on social media.

The suspects are accused of putting crying children in washing machines, locking them in toilets, and spraying water into their mouths using jet sprays. Meanwhile, some of the children at the nursery were allegedly shoved into narrow water pipes. Police launched an investigation after WhatsApp videos were reported to them on Monday, June 29.

The children were reportedly abused at a nursery in Capgemini’s HAL campus, located in the Brookefield area of Bangalore in Karnataka, India. The videos were reported to the Child Helpline before police launched a manhunt for five suspects.

They have been identified as Manjula, Vijayalakshmi, Bhavani, Sindhu, and Bindu. Local media have reported they have been booked under Section 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act.

The alleged abuse has also been reported to the Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights. The authorities are now working to track down the suspects and are urging the public to provide relevant information.

Meanwhile, the allegations have sparked outrage among parents in the area. They have raised serious concerns about safety standards amid concerns that more children may have been abused.

Police from the District Child Protection Unit are continuing to investigate what happened. They are interviewing witnesses and investigating the extent of the abuse.

It has been confirmed that no arrests have been made so far. However, the force is expecting the suspects to be arrested within the coming days before they are questioned.

The alleged abuse took place in the Brookefield area of Bangalore. The major residential and commercial neighbourhood is located in the east of the city and has a population of around 57,000 people.
