Oyo APC constitutes reconciliation committee to address complaints, grievances after primaries

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has constituted a reconciliation committee to look into complaints and grievances among party members arising from its held party primaries.

In a statement by its State Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, on Sunday in Ibadan, APC said that the move was to forge a united front ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to Sadare, the reconciliation committee is made up of elder statesmen and eminent citizens to address grievances and complaints being raised by some of the aspirants and other key stakeholders.

He said that the committee, which was expected to be inaugurated in the coming weeks by the APC State Chairman, Chief Moses Adeyemo, has been mandated to reach out to all those who obtained Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms but did not secure the party tickets.

He gave the names of  members of the committee to include: Sen. Olufemi Lanlehin, Sen. Brimo Yusuf, Sen. Hosea Agboola, Chief Akin Oke, former Head of Service of the Federation Prof. Afolabi Oladapo,  Idris Adeoye, and Pa Timothy Jolaoso.

Others are Chief Olukemi Alao-Akala, Dr. Adebayo Adewusi, Hon. Gunju Ojo, Dr. Adekemi Opatunde, Chief Abisoye Fagade, Alhaji Kamorudeen Ajisafe, Abu Adejare Gbadamosi, Isiaka Alimi, Prince Niran Adeyoju, Alhaji Yinka Folarin, and Chief Emmanuel Olaoye.

Also in the committee are: Alhaji Mufutau Adisa, Alhaji Sule Ajibade, Prof. Abideen Olaiya,  Dayo Lawal, Hon. Ibrahim Bolomope,  Mabel Williams, Hon. Jelili Agboola, Hon. Kehinde Oloya, Chief Goke Oyetunji, and Hon. Ramota Okemakinde among  others.

Sadare said “It is hoped that this effort will bring about the desired peace and unity for our great party to win big at the polls next year.”
