Police Release CCTV Image After Sheffield Sexual Assault Investigation

Police have launched a CCTV appeal after a woman was sexually assaulted in an early-hours attack.

Detectives investigating the incident in Sheffield have released images of a man they are urgently seeking to speak to in connection with the case.

The victim was reportedly approached and assaulted while standing on Carver Street at around 2am on Saturday, June 20.

Officers are hunting a man described as around 6ft tall, aged between 20 and 30, with black hair. He is said to have been wearing a black t-shirt with a distinctive reflective strip on the back.

The force said enquiries remain ongoing and has appealed to anyone who recognises the man pictured to come forward.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said investigators are keen to identify the man captured in the CCTV footage, as he may be able to assist with their enquiries.
