Nigerian musician Rudeboy of P-Square has reiterated his opposition to defamation, stating that he will keep taking legal action against anyone who makes false accusations against him.
The musician said in a video that has gone viral on social media that he recently had someone arrested, brought the issue to court, and won.
He also stated that the offender is currently serving the sentence that the court set.
Singer Rudeboy has spoken further on a defamation case involving a woman who made allegations against him online, saying he felt sympathy for her and her husband but had no choice but to pursue legal action once the matter got to him.
He said the person had said something disgusting about him, prompting him to get her arrested and taken to court, where he won the case and she is now paying the penalty.
He explained that while he sympathised with the woman and understood what her husband must have gone through.
He maintained that there was nothing he could do once he identifies someone responsible for such statements, as he always hands them over to the appropriate authorities.
It would be recalled that in 2025, a woman identified by a social media handle had posted a claim online alleging that Rudeboy had an encounter with a younger domestic worker.
Rudeboy strongly denied the allegation, described it as defamatory, and vowed on social media to use his resources to track down the user and make an example of her through the legal system.
“The person said something disgusting. I got the person arrested. Took the person to court. Won the case. The person is paying the penalty now… I’m sorry for the lady in question, but there’s nothing I could do. Once I catch you, I hand you over to … “
