Transfer: Chelsea hijack Arsenal’s move for Morgan Rogers, seal record £117m deal

Chelsea have agreed a record £117m deal with Aston Villa for Morgan Rogers.
The Blues are now on the brink of hijacking Arsenal’s move to sign the England midfielder.
The Gunners were unwilling to go high price and Rogers is set to join Chelsea.
Rogers is expected to undergo his medicals on Monday and sign a six-year contract at Chelsea with the option of another year.
This transfer will make him the most expensive British player.
The record had already been broken this summer after Manchester City paid £116m to Nottingham Forest for his England team-mate Elliot Anderson.
