Kebbi: Police confirm release of kidnapped High Court Judge

The Kebbi State Police Command has confirmed the release of the State High Court Judge, Justice Faruk Hassan Bunza, who was kidnaped penultimate weeks in his country Home of Bunza.
He was released earlier today, August 3, 2026.
His release has been confirmed by his family and the State Ministry of Justice.
According to the police Authority, no dime was paid as ransom.
With the Judge now released, Police and other security agencies have intensified investigative efforts to track down the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
The Police therefore urged members of the public to provide useful information that could assist in this regard assuring that all information provided will be treated with utmost confidentiality.
The Command also appreciated the support and cooperation of the public and partner security agencies throughout this period, and reassures residents of its unwavering commitment to protecting lives and property across the State.
