NNPP dissolves Kano govt

The Nationwide Working Committee of the New Nigeria Peoples Party has dissolved its Kano State Government, in addition to all native authorities and ward leaders, forward of the defection of the state governor, Abba Yusuf’s defection to the All Progressives Congress.
NNPP Nationwide Publicity Secretary, Oladipo Johnson, said in a Friday assertion that the NWC plans to ascertain a caretaker committee quickly.
Recall that the NNPP Nationwide Chief and former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and Yusuf have been embroiled in a political disaster.
The governor is reportedly on the verge of becoming a member of the APC, a transfer strongly opposed by Kwankwaso.
The Kano state chapter of the APC has confirmed that Yusuf is anticipated to hitch the social gathering in a couple of days.
Johnson, nevertheless, emphasised that the dissolution was carried out in accordance with the provisions of the social gathering’s structure.
He said, “The Nationwide Working Committee of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, after an emergency assembly, has, in accordance with the structure of the social gathering, introduced the dissolution of its Government Committees on the State, Native Authorities, and Ward ranges in Kano State.
“In step with the provisions of the social gathering’s structure, the NWC resolved to nominate Caretaker Committees to behave within the interim. Additional directions will probably be introduced sooner or later.
“The NWC accordingly thanked all those that held positions on the State, Native Authorities, and Ward buildings of the social gathering in Kano State and guaranteed them of the social gathering’s appreciation for his or her invaluable contributions.”
