2027: Mohammed Hayatu-Deen Joins Presidential Race, Promises Economic Recovery

Former People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Presidential Aspirant and Economist, Alhaji Mohammed Hayatu-Deen had announced his decision to contest for the 2027 presidential election under the platform of the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
Hayatu-Deen, a banker and Economist disclosed this Thursday , while speaking with journalist in Abuja.
He noted that Nigerians were tired of reclying leaders and broken promises, blaming the current insecurity in the country on poverty.
The presidential hopeful who vowed to run an egalitarian society and people centric government said he is in the race to bring his four decades of wealth of experience in the banking sector and economy in addressing the challenges facing the country .
The former presidential aspirant who said that Nigerians are tired of broken promises, promising that he will do things differently.
Hayatu-Deen noted that Nigeria is facing worsening economic hardship and insecurity, and requires disciplined leadership to restore confidence and growth.
He described Nigeria as a nation at a crossroads, where urgent and decisive leadership is needed to bridge the gap between the country’s vast potential and its current realities.
The ADC Chieftain highlighted rising food prices, high transportation costs, and growing insecurity as key challenges affecting everyday Nigerians.
Mohammed Hayatu-Deen noted that while economic reforms may have been necessary, poor implementation has increased the burden on citizens, leaving many struggling to meet basic needs.
Drawing from over four decades of experience in banking and economic management, he pledged to restore confidence in governance, strengthen institutions, and drive inclusive growth.
He emphasized that leadership must focus on solving problems and improving the lives of citizens, rather than pursuing power for its own sake.
The aspirant also called for unity across ethnic, religious, and regional divides, stressing that Nigerians are tired of divisive politics and ineffective leadership.
He assured that his campaign will be anchored on transparency, accountability, and people-centered policies, adding that he will submit himself to the due process as outlined by the leadership of the party in seeking for the party’s ticke.
