Africa Technology Expo to hold third edition in Lagos, expands to two-day format

The Africa Technology Expo (ATE) is set to return to Lagos for its third edition, with organisers announcing an expansion to a two-day, enterprise-focused format scheduled for June 26 and 27, 2026.

Often described by participants as the “CES of Africa,” the event is expected to bring together decision-makers, senior executives, regulators and technology professionals to explore opportunities within Africa’s evolving digital economy.

Organisers say previous editions of the Expo facilitated an estimated $198 million in partnerships, investment conversations and memoranda of understanding, underscoring growing interest in Africa’s technology and infrastructure sectors. The platform was established to connect Africa’s emerging hardware and digital infrastructure ecosystem with global markets and has since positioned itself as a meeting point for discussions around robotics, connectivity and enterprise innovation.

Speaking ahead of the event, Nnaemeka Clinton, said the decision to expand the programme reflects broader developments within the sector.

“The evolution of ATE into a two-day format reflects the increasing scale and complexity of the African technology ecosystem. The goal is to create a platform that enables more meaningful engagement and supports partnerships that drive long-term growth,” he said.

The 2026 edition will feature a range of activities, including exhibitions focused on robotics, Internet-of-Things (IoT) and smart hardware solutions, as well as sector-specific masterclasses and networking sessions aimed at connecting businesses, investors and policymakers.

Organisers also plan to introduce a matchmaking platform designed to facilitate targeted interactions between participants, alongside curated networking opportunities for executives across both the public and private sectors.

The Expo comes at a time when governments and organisations across the continent are increasing investments in digital infrastructure and enterprise technology as part of broader economic development strategies.
