APC Mega Rally In Kebbi Draws Mammoth Crowd for Tinubu, Idris

Birnin Kebbi came alive on Saturday as thousands of residents poured into the streets in a sweeping demonstration of solidarity for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris, grounding movement across major parts of the state capital.

The rally, organised by the All Progressives Congress (APC), witnessed a human wave stretching from Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport through Ambursa, Sultan Abubakar Road and Bello Way, culminating at the Haliru Abdu Stadium, where a mammoth crowd gathered in a vivid display of political unity.

Addressing the electrified audience, Idris described the turnout as historic and deeply symbolic of Kebbi’s unwavering loyalty to the APC-led federal government.

He said the state had every justification to stand firmly behind President Tinubu, citing visible federal presence through infrastructure projects and strategic appointments benefiting the state.

“We have every reason to support President Tinubu. The impact of his administration is visible, and our people can attest to the progress recorded in recent years,” the governor declared to loud cheers.

He further hailed the prevailing cohesion within the party, noting that the solidarity on display reaffirmed Kebbi’s strategic alignment with the APC leadership at both state and national levels.

“This unity is not accidental; it reflects a shared vision for sustained progress. Kebbi remains firmly rooted in the APC and committed to the leadership of President Tinubu,” he said.

Reaffirming his administration’s agenda, Idris pledged continuity in governance, stressing that his government would consolidate on past achievements while accelerating development across critical sectors.

He also signalled strong political backing for the President ahead of future elections.

“We are united in our resolve to sustain this administration and support President Tinubu beyond his first term. The achievements are tangible, and we will not allow misinformation to derail our progress,” he added.

In his remarks, APC National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Argungu, described the rally as a clear indication of the people’s alignment with both the President and the governor. He expressed confidence in the party’s electoral strength, pointing to the overwhelming turnout as a predictor of future victories.

On internal party processes, Argungu reiterated the APC’s commitment to democratic primaries while encouraging consensus-building among aspirants to preserve unity.

Also speaking, Chairman of the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Faruku Musa Yaro Enabo, urged the governor to remain grateful to God for what he termed an extraordinary show of public affection, while calling on party faithful to sustain peace and cohesion.

Earlier, APC State Chairman, Abubakar Kana-Zuru, disclosed that participants were mobilised from all 21 local government areas, 225 wards and over 3,700 polling units, describing the turnout as organic and unprecedented.

“This is not a rented crowd. These are genuine supporters whose presence reflects the deep-rooted acceptance of the APC across Kebbi,” he asserted.

Youth Leader Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa and Women Leader Hajiya A’isha Gunabi, in separate remarks, pledged unwavering loyalty to the party, underscoring the indispensable role of young people and women in securing electoral victories.

Saturday’s rally not only underscored Kebbi’s political cohesion but also signalled a strengthening of the APC’s grassroots machinery ahead of future contests, as the state positions itself as a stronghold of support for the Tinubu administration.
