Army Removes Oguwike As PHDL Company Secretary

The Nigerian Army has announced the removal of Barrister Nathan Oguwike as Company Secretary of Post-Service Housing Development Limited.

The decision, which took effect on April 23, 2026, was disclosed in an official notice issued by the spokesperson of the firm, Lieutenant Augustine Nkeonye.

In the statement, the Army clarified that Oguwike no longer holds any position within the organisation.

It said, “This is to notify the general public that Nathan Oguwike, Esq., former company secretary of Post-Service Housing Development Limited (PHDL), has ceased to hold that position effective 23 April 2026 and is no longer in the service of the company.”

The notice added, “The individual is not authorised to represent or bind PHDL in any manner.”

The Army warned stakeholders and members of the public against engaging with him in any official capacity relating to the company.

“PHDL accepts no liability for any actions or representations made by the individual subsequent to the cessation of his appointment,” the statement added.

No official reason was given for Oguwike’s removal, with the Army maintaining silence on whether the decision was administrative or disciplinary.

Post-Service Housing Development Limited is an initiative of the Nigerian Army aimed at providing affordable housing for serving and retired personnel.

The scheme forms part of broader welfare efforts to improve living conditions for military officers after active service.
