Prior to the 2027 elections, Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana Chief Priest, announced his candidacy for the APC’s Orlu/Orsu/Oru East Federal House seat.
The 45-year-old Orsu native, well-known for his nightclubs in the Cubana Group, pledged to contribute personal funds to projects without embezzling public monies.
Online opinions were divided; some questioned whether his notoriety from nightclubs made him more eligible to legislate than celebrities like Cosmas Maduka, while others applauded his enthusiasm as a prosperous local returning home. The APC’s Hon. presently holds the position.
