Kwara lawmaker raises concern over attack, seeks probe

A member of the House of Representatives representing Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency, Ahmed Adamu Saba, has expressed concern over an attack on him in Tsaragi, Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State.
In a statement issued in Ilorin, the lawmaker said the incident occurred on Tuesday as he was leaving a function in the area.
Saba described the development as unfortunate, noting that it would not deter him from continuing his legislative duties and engagement with constituents.
He emphasized the need for peaceful political participation, stating that individuals should be free to pursue their ambitions without fear or intimidation.
The lawmaker also called on the Nigeria Police Force to investigate the incident and ensure that those responsible are identified, in line with the rule of law.
He reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people of his constituency and promoting democratic values.
