Lagos 2027: Jandor meets GAC chairman, Olusi in strategic consultation drive

By Olasunkanmi Akoni
One of the leading governorship aspirants of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Lagos State, Olajide Adediran, popularly called Jandor, has continued his extensive stakeholder engagement with a high-level consultation visit to the Chairman of the Lagos State Governance Advisory Council, GAC, Tajudeen Olusi, alongside other eminent members of the council.
In the course of this strategic outreach, Jandor also met with respected GAC member, Cardinal James Odumbaku, a former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Adeyemi Ikuforiji, and a chieftain of the party, Monsuru Batola popularly known as Alao Seniyan.
The engagements form a critical part of his ongoing consultations ahead of the Lagos APC governorship primaries.
The visits underscored Adediran’s firm commitment to a comprehensive and inclusive consultation framework, deliberately designed to integrate both grassroots sentiments and leadership perspectives. This dual-track strategy, a bottom-top and top-bottom approach reflects his belief that sustainable political leadership must be anchored on broad-based consensus across all strata of the party.
In furtherance of this people-driven approach, Adediran has directed leaders of his political structure across the 377 wards and 13,326 polling units in the state to commence immediate engagement with party members, with a view to mobilising support and strengthening grassroots alignment for his governorship aspiration ahead of the party primaries.
Adediran reiterated his respect for the institutional wisdom and stabilizing role of the GAC in Lagos APC politics, noting that their guidance remains invaluable in fostering unity, continuity, and progressive governance in the state.
He further assured party leaders of his unwavering loyalty to the APC and his readiness to work collaboratively with all stakeholders, while remaining aligned with the resolutions and direction of the party leadership at all times.
These consultations mark a significant step in Adediran’s ongoing efforts to build alignment, deepen trust, and reinforce unity within the Lagos APC as the party prepares for the future.
