New venue decked in ADC colours ahead of party’s convention

The Rainbow Event Centre in Abuja is being adorned in the colours of the African Democratic Congress ahead of its Tuesday national convention, reflecting intensified preparations for the event.
ADC is set to host its 2026 National Convention with the theme, “So the Nation May Work.”
Our correspondent, who visited the venue of the ADC National Convention around 8:10 p.m. on Monday, observed that the Chairman of the Convention Planning Committee and former Rivers State Governor, Liyel Imoke, was personally supervising the setup.
Other members of the ADC National Convention Organising Committee sighted at the venue include former Imo State Governor, Emeka Ihedioha; former President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Olumide Akpata; former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Kola Ologbondiyan; and former Director-General of the PDP Governors’ Forum, C. I. D. Maduabum, among other coalition leaders.
PidomNigeria Online observed that while decorators worked round the clock to ensure the venue was ready before daybreak, party supporters were seated around the hall eagerly awaiting the commencement of activities.
Also spotted at the entrance of the venue were traders selling water, soft drinks, and other items, who appeared prepared to pasa the night at the Rainbow Event Centre.
It will be recalled that after the ADC failed to secure approval to use the Eagle Square and the Moshood Abiola National Stadium Velodrome for its convention, it opted for the Rainbow Event Centre in Garki, Area 8, Abuja.
PidomNigeria Online exclusively reported on Monday that the ADC is expecting over 300 delegates at the national convention.
Key items on the agenda include the affirmation of the National Working Committee led by David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola, as well as the approval of a reviewed party constitution and manifesto.
