A Nigerian national, identified as Alhaji Isiaq Dahunsi, tragically passed away on Monday, April 27, while in transit from Istanbul to Lagos.

The news was confirmed in a social media tribute posted by the deceased’s friend, Ishola Isiaq, who serves as an Imam for the Ansar-ud-Deen Society of Nigeria. In a post shared via his verified Facebook page, the Imam expressed his grief but did not provide specific details regarding the airline involved or the official cause of death.

“Innalillahi Waina Ilaeyi Rojiun. From Allah we come to Him is our ultimate return. I lost a Childhood Friend. Late Alhaji Isiaq Dahunsi this Morning Monday 27th April, 2026. On his way back from Istanbul, Turkey to Murtala Mohammed International Airport. He died inside the flight. May Almighty Allah accept his return and forgive his short comings.”he wrote
