Ottawa earthquake LIVE: Tremors hit Canada's capital today as houses shake – 'Freaked out'
Ottawa in Canada has been rocked by an earthquake as locals say houses were shaking and people were “freaking out.”
Earthquakes Canada reported a magnitude 3.9 earthquake, northeast of Shawville, Que. Residents said the earthquake “shook the houses” and lasted for around 15-20 seconds. According to initial reports, the earthquake hit around noon (local time) today, at a shallow depth of 6.2 miles.
