Muttaqha Rabe Darma has been confirmed by the Nigerian Senate to serve as a minister in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The confirmation came after Thursday’s review of the ministerial nominee.
President Bola Tinubu nominated Darma to be a minister in his cabinet on Wednesday. He will take over for Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, the previous Minister of Housing and Urban Development.
Godswill Akpabio, the president of the Senate, referred Darma’s nomination to the Committee of the Whole for additional legislative action after reading the President’s message in plenary. He was instructed to report back as soon as it was practical.
Darma previously served as the Petroleum Technology Development Fund’s (PTDF) Executive Secretary.
