Akwa Ibom APC Primaries: Udoedeghe emerges governorship candidate

Senator John Udoedeghe has emerged as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Akwa Ibom State following the party’s primary election.

For the senatorial primaries, Patience Ibanga Akpabio emerged winner for Akwa Ibom North-West Senatorial District, while Sunday Umoren clinched the Akwa Ibom North-East ticket. Louis Paul Udoh emerged winner for Akwa Ibom South Senatorial District.

In the House of Representatives primaries, Jackson Emem Daniel won the Etinan/Nsit Ibom/Nsit Ubium Federal Constituency ticket, while Hanson Paul secured the Ikot Abasi/Mkpat Enin/Eastern Obolo seat.

John Gabriel emerged winner for Oron/Mbo/Udung Uko/Okobo/Urue-Offong Oruko Federal Constituency, while Barrister Akaninyene Udofa clinched the Oruk Anam/Ukanafun ticket.

Chris Sunday George won the Eket/Onna/Esit Eket/Ibeno Federal Constituency ticket, while Alfred Umoh secured victory for Ikono/Ini Federal Constituency.

Nnamonso David emerged winner for Uyo/Uruan/Nsit Atai/Ibesikpo Federal Constituency, while Nsikak Umoeka clinched the Itu/Ibiono-Ibom ticket.

Ofonime Johnson Inyang won the Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency seat, while Isaac Asuquo emerged winner for Ikot Ekpene/Essien Udim/Obot Akara Federal Constituency.

Meanwhile, 26 candidates emerged unopposed in the State House of Assembly primaries.

They include Paul Sunday Udoh (Onna), Kelvin Ime (Uruan), Ubong Udoh Akpan (Ikono), Emmanuel Stephen Peters (Ikot Abasi/Eastern Obolo), Edemiko Ita Dan (Nsit Atai), Lucky Sunday Enang (Ukanafun), Etimbuk Ime Akpan (Abak), Inemesit Mitchell Nkereuwem (Essien Udim), Isaac Udoidiong Ibanga (Ikot Ekpene), Patrick Sambo William (Uyo), Akaninyene Boniface Etim (Ibiono-Ibom), Inem Kufre (Etinan), Idongesit Amos (Mkpat Enin), Jude Linus (Ika), Innocent Okoro (Oruk Anam), Emmanuel Isine (Eket), Saviour Monday (Nsit Ubium), Daniel Michael (Nsit Ibom), Archibong Duke (Esit Eket), Otu Monday (Ibeno), Enwono Etim John (Etim Ekpo), Valentine Okon (Okobo), Victor Frank (Urue-Offong Oruko), Mercy Edeke (Oron/Udung Uko), Joseph Okon Etim (Mbo) and Archibong Bassey (Itu).
