Igarra group backs APC Reps candidate, Balogun
The Igarra Community Development Initiative has congratulated Chief Hon. Oladele Bankole-Balogun on his emergence as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Akoko-Edo Federal House of Representatives seat.
The group described Balogunâs emergence as a reflection of his âlong-standing dedication to public serviceâ and the confidence reposed in him by party stakeholders across Akoko-Edo.
In a statement signed by its President, Mr. Okara Michael, the organisation said the APC candidate had earned widespread respect through years of consistent engagement with the people.
According to the group, Balogunâs ability to unite diverse interests and build consensus distinguished him at a critical period for the constituency.
The statement noted that his political maturity and commitment to inclusive representation positioned him as a strong voice for the people of Akoko-Edo at the National Assembly.
The group also hailed his track record in mobilisation, human capacity development, advocacy and community development, describing him as âa candidate of substance, preparation and vision.â
It expressed optimism that his emergence would usher in a new phase of purposeful and accountable representation for the constituency.
The organisation further urged the APC standard bearer to prioritise infrastructure, education, security and economic opportunities across the wards in Akoko-Edo if elected.
âWe pray for wisdom, strength and divine favour to guide your decisions. May you carry the hopes of Akoko-Edo with integrity and courage at the National Assembly,â the statement said.
The group pledged its support for Balogunâs aspiration and assured him of its readiness to collaborate in advancing the interests of the people of Akoko-Edo.
It added that residents of the constituency were looking forward to âa new chapter of purposeful, accountable and people-centred representationâ under his leadership.
