Igboho Seeks Federal Approval to Launch Forest Security Network in South-West

Yoruba nation activist Sunday Adeyemo, widely known as Sunday Igboho, has revealed that he is waiting for Federal Government authorisation before his security outfit begins operations to clear terrorists and other criminal elements from forests across the South-West region.

Igboho disclosed in a statement on Monday, May 25, that his group, Iru Ekun Security Network, is fully prepared to commence operations and is only awaiting official clearance.

He noted that all required documentation and paperwork for approval have already been submitted to the Federal Government.

The activist stated that the outfit is ready to work in collaboration with existing security agencies to restore peace and safety across the region.

He also confirmed his willingness to comply with the Oyo State Government’s Executive Order governing the activities of private security organisations operating within the state.

According to him, the group intends to partner with the police, the Department of State Services, the Nigerian Army, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and other relevant agencies to rid forests and rural communities of terrorists, kidnappers, bandits, and other criminal elements that continue to threaten the safety of residents, particularly in rural areas.
