Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has once again spoken about her friendship with colleague Genevieve Nnaji, revealing that what was once a close bond has gradually faded over the years.

The 54-year-old made the disclosure on the latest episode of the Tea With Tay podcast, admitting that she cannot fully explain what caused the distance between them.

She described how they were once close enough to attend events together, but a gap eventually developed that she could not account for. She said she has since moved on.

Reflecting on the experience more broadly, Henshaw said she has come to accept that relationships naturally evolve over time, with different people playing different roles in one’s life at different seasons.

She likened people to roots, branches, and leaves each serving a distinct purpose, with only true roots remaining constant.

This is not the first time Henshaw has addressed the subject publicly. In 2023, she acknowledged that she and Nnaji had experienced some friction in their friendship, though she described the issues as minor rather than serious falling-outs.

She also noted that Nnaji has a tendency to withdraw from people generally, saying it sometimes left those around her wondering if they had done something wrong.
