League of African Ambassadors president leads diplomatic delegation to Mosaic Forum in Cairo

The League of African Ambassadors has officially announced that its President, Ambassador Nwannebuike Eze Ominyi, will lead a high-powered delegation of top African diplomats to the prestigious Mosaic Forum 2026, scheduled to take place in Cairo, Egypt, from 3rd June to 5th June 2026.

The delegation’s participation underscores the League’s ongoing commitment to fostering intra-African cooperation, strengthening regional partnerships, and advancing the continent’s strategic economic and geopolitical interests on global platforms.

According to a statement, accompanying the President to this prestigious forum is a distinguished delegation of prominent continental figures and seasoned diplomats.

The official delegation includes Ambassador Mona Omar of Egypt, Ambassador Kufa Edward Chinoza of Zimbabwe, Ambassador General Tukur Buratai (Rtd) of Nigeria, Ambassador Alexander Grant Ntrakwa of Ghana, Ambassador Carmen Jolene Smidt of South Africa, Ambassador John James Usanga of Nigeria, Ambassador Sylvester Mundanda of Zambia, Ambassador Jaqueline Zwambila of Zimbabwe, Ambassador Kasongo Musenga of the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Ambassador Ali Magashi of Nigeria who is already on the ground in Cairo as well as  Mayor Iduma representing the media.

Throughout the three-day forum, this high-level team is slated to engage in a series of critical, impact-driven activities on the side-line, aimed at deepening bilateral and multilateral ties with some  global and continental bodies.

Leading diplomats from the delegation will feature as key panelists, contributing Afrio-centric perspectives to discussions on contemporary public affairs facing Africa, regional integration, economic resilience, and sustainable development.

Furthermore, the League is set to institutionalize strategic partnerships through the signing of landmark Memoranda of Understanding aimed at boostingcollaboration and diplomatic synergy across the continent.

In addition to the main forum events, the itinerary features critical diplomatic engagements. The President and the accompanying delegates will hold a closed-door bilateral meeting with the Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt to discuss shared regional priorities and diplomatic cooperation and contemporary public affairs facing Africa. The delegation will also meet with the Dean of the African Group of Ambassadors accredited to Egypt, and thereby strengthening solidarity and alignment on the continent’s common positions within the diplomatic corps. A robust schedule of sideline meetings has also been finalized with international investors, policy experts, and development partners to explore mutual avenues of growth.

The Mosaic Forum 2026 is aimed at fostering a renewed commitment among African and Middle Eastern leaders, practitioners, and partners to navigate contemporary public affairs challenges by shifting from reactive management to proactive agency – shaping Africa’s destiny through deeper policy dialogue, smarter strategic communications, and tangible collaborations that deliver prosperity and dignity for all peoples.
