The organizers noted that the festival is designed to bring together founders, policymakers, investors, regulators, developers, and technology leaders who are actively shaping the future of blockchain, artificial intelligence, digital identity, financial infrastructure, and emerging technologies across Africa.

According to the organizers, the event is not just another technology conference, but a strategic platform focused on building sustainable structures that can support Africa’s rapidly evolving digital economy.
Speaking on the vision behind the festival, the organizers said: “As Africa’s digital economy continues to evolve, there is an urgent need for stronger collaboration between innovation, policy, and investment.

ABF2026 is being positioned as a meeting point for builders, institutions, and decision-makers contributing to Africa’s next era of digital transformation.”

They explained that the 2026 edition will hold under the theme, “Code, Capital and Continuity: Building Africa’s Permanent Digital Economy,” a theme they said reflects the growing importance of long-term thinking, infrastructure development, and responsible adoption of emerging technologies across the continent.

The organizers further disclosed that the festival aims to deepen conversations around adoption, scalability, investment opportunities, and ecosystem growth while creating practical pathways for partnerships capable of accelerating Africa’s digital transformation.

Reflecting on the success of the inaugural edition in Kigali, the organizers revealed that Africa Blockchain Festival 2025 attracted more than 2,000 participants from across Africa and other parts of the world, with discussions centered on blockchain adoption, regulation, payments, digital infrastructure, and investment opportunities.

They noted that the strong turnout and engagement recorded during the Kigali edition further reinforced the need for a larger and more expansive platform capable of connecting stakeholders driving innovation across multiple sectors.

According to them, Africa Blockchain Festival 2026 will significantly expand those conversations while positioning Nairobi as a major hub for Africa’s digital economy ecosystem.
The organizers also confirmed that the festival will feature keynote sessions, startup showcases, panel discussions, ecosystem networking opportunities, and cross-sector engagements designed to encourage collaboration between innovators, regulators, institutions, and investors.
