Onuachu grabs brace as Trabzonspor beat Konyaspor to win Turkish Cup
Paul Onuachu scored twice as Trabzonspor defeated Konyaspor 2-1 in the final of the Turkish Cup on Friday night.
It was the 10th time Trabzonspor lifted the Turkish Cup.
Onuachu, who finished as joint top scorer in the Turkish Super Lig in the 2025/26 season, opened the scoring for the Black Sea Storm in the 18th minute, with right-back Wagne Pina providing the assist.
Democratic Republic of Congo striker Jackson Muleka equalised for Konyaspor five minutes after the break.
Enis Bardhi missed the chance to hand Konyaspor the lead for the first time in the game when he missed from the penalty spot two minutes before the hour mark.
Onuachu netted the winning goal for Trabzonspor from the penalty spot 11 minutes from time.
His international teammate, Chibuike Nwaiwu, also featured for Trabzonspor in the game.
