Taraba 2027: Kefas secures APC ticket for second term
By Femi Bolaji
Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas has won the gubernatorial ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He polled 166,375 votes to defeat former Minister of Transport, Mu’azu Jaji Sambo, who got 4,110 votes.
Speaking shortly after he was declared winner, Kefas noted that the victory belongs to all members of his party.
He further extended an olive branch to his fellow contenders, urging them to join him to build a better Taraba as he seeks re-election.
He also added that the task ahead is bigger than individual ambition, and called for unity of purpose among all party faithful to secure a resounding victory for the party both at the national and state levels.
Kefas thereafter pledged to continually provide the right leadership to move the state forward.
