Trump slams judge for 'playing games with America’s security' over White House renovation

Donald Trump slammed a judge for “playing games with America’s security” while defending his plan to build a military drone port on top of the proposed White House ballroom. The US President warned that the judge “will be held responsible” if anything goes wrong.

Mr Trump shared several mock‑up images of the “drone port” he wants to build on top of the proposed White House ballroom. He posted the designs while criticising the judge, framing the construction dispute as part of a broader effort to obstruct his plans.

In the latest post on Truth Social, the US President wrote: “The DronePort at the White House Ballroom will be, perhaps, the most sophisticated anywhere in the World! It will safeguard our Nation’s Capital, Washington, D.C., long into the future. Judge Richard Leon should stop playing games with America’s Security!

“If anything happens, he will be held responsible for the Death and Destruction caused to our Country. He has already created enough problems by allowing “Top Secret” information to be released and exposed based on a ridiculous lawsuit started by a highly litigious woman (serial plaintiff!) whose “strolling,” in her opinion, will be disturbed by the new, desperately needed structure – In any event, a woman who has absolutely no STANDING!

“With the advent of highly sophisticated, and powerful, modern day weaponry, we can no longer defend Washington, D.C., with rifles and pistols, alone. This ridiculous lawsuit must be dismissed, IMMEDIATELY! President DONALD J. TRUMP.”

Mr Trump shared three images depicting his proposed drone port, each showing different UAVs positioned on the roof of the planned ballroom and guarded by armed soldiers.

He has argued that the drone port is essential for protecting both the ballroom and the White House, telling reporters last week that adding it would effectively turn the structure into a protective “shield” for the capital.

Leon is a George W. Bush appointee who has served on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia since 2002.

In April, Leon ruled that the administration lacked legal authority to build the ballroom without congressional approval.

While Leon issued an injunction to halt all “above -ground construction of the planned ballroom,” the order was itself put on hold by an appeals court, with construction carrying on for now.
