Davido’s logistics manager, Israel DMW set to bury father in July

Davido’s logistics manager, Israel Afeara, popularly called Israel DMW, has released the burial arrangements for his deceased father, Afeare Eric.

According to the programme, most of the ceremony will take place at Oguedo quarters, levbu-Ake, Owan East Local Government Area, Edo State, while the reception will hold in Benin City.

On Thursday, 9th July 2026, the corpse leaves the Igue mortuary for the deceased residence for the night social wake keep. On Friday, 10th July, a funeral service will hold and that will be followed by interment at his compound Oguedo quarters, levbu-Ake, Owan East Local Government Area at 10am.

On Saturday, 11 July, afternoon wake keep will be held at the deceased residence from 2pm, while on Sunday, July 12, a Thanksgiving service will hold at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Ake at 10am.

A reception, which is the final activity of the programme, will be held on July 19, at the Crown Heart Pavilion on Country Road, Benin City from 12 noon.

Recall that deceased, a retired Deputy Superintendent of police, died in an Ibadan hospital, Oyo State, at the age of 71, after a brief illness on March 2.

Israel described his late father as his pillar of strength and the one who made the family an indivisible unit.

He said, “It is sad losing my father at this time. We still need him with us, but God knows better.

“He was my pillar of strength, and he was instrumental in making the family an indivisible unit.”

The deceased is survived by two wives and eight children.
