FACT CHECK!!! Is Actress Halima Abubakar Dead?

Popular Nollywood actress, Halima Abubakar has described a YouTube news claiming that she’s dead as false, defamatory and malicious.

‎Abubakar said she was surprised when a relative sent her the link to the malicious YouTube news on IycomeniaTV, suggesting that she was dead.

‎

‎She therefore said her legal team is already taking every necessary step to pursue the matter legally, if the persons peddling the rumour fail to bring down the fake news from their platform.

‎

‎“I have been inundated with calls and messages from family members, relatives and friends who were worried after seeing the fake and malicious news. For the records, I’m alive, and by the grace of God, I will live long in good health. I only wonder why someone somewhere would just cook up such terrible rumour about a fellow human being.

‎

‎“I have instructed my team to take legal actions against all the platforms or persons spreading the rumour. I’m giving them 24 hours to pull the story down or face the consequences legally,” Abubakar warned.

‎

‎Abubakar therefore told her fans home and abroad to jettison the rumour, describing it as a mere handiwork of her detractors.
