Ghana’s capital, Accra, and a number of communities in the southern parts of the country were, on Monday, June 29, 2026, hit by unprecedented flooding following heavy downpours.
A video of an at homes, companies, lorry parks, and streets submerged under water in vast areas of Accra, including Circle and the Weija area.
Official records indicate that 12 people died in the flooding, with hundreds being displaced.
