‘I’m happy’ – NDC spokesman thanks Tinubu for national honour

The National Publicity Secretary of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Osa Director, has expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for conferring a national honour on him.
Speaking during an interview on Arise Television, Director said Tinubu should be commended.
He was was reacting to the conferment of national honours on himself and and other pro-democracy activists.
“I’m happy that President Tinubu, being a pro-democracy activist, knew he had to correct these anomalies because in 1999, it was the pro-democracy activists who ensured Obasanjo didn’t die in jail.
“But when he became president, he didn’t appreciate the activists and the media. So, if President Tinubu decides to right that wrong, he should be commended.
“I’m not one who plays politics of vindictiveness. I’m not going to deny my social relationship with people because I’m in the opposition party,” he said.
