MFM holds musical concert, offers free meals to over 1,200 worshippers

Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Ajah Council of Regions, Lagos State, has held its 2026 musical concert themed “Sing Praises unto God,” with a call for continuous worship and what church leaders described as “prophetic praise” for spiritual revival and healing.

The concert, held at the auditorium of MFM Lagos Region 28, Ado Road, Ajah, attracted worshippers, gospel artistes, youths, and music groups from across Lagos State, according to a statement made available to PidomNigeria Online on Thursday.

The church also provided free meals for more than 1,200 participants at the event.

The programme featured praise and worship sessions, choir ministrations, gospel performances, prophetic sessions and exhortations centred on the role of music in Christian worship and personal transformation.

Speaking at the event, the Mega Regional Overseer in charge of MFM Ajah Mega Axis, Pastor Irabor Enojiasun, said the concert was designed to create an atmosphere for spiritual encounter and encouragement for individuals facing life challenges.

He said gospel music remained a tool for emotional healing and spiritual upliftment.

Also speaking, Pastor Ade Oyebanji of MFM Lagos Island Mega Region urged Nigerians to embrace continuous praise and worship, describing it as a pathway to spiritual breakthrough.

“When you pray, prayer moves from Earth to Heaven, but when you praise, heaven comes down to earth immediately,” he said.

In his exhortation, Senior Regional Overseer, MFM Music Worldwide, Pastor Samuel Oloyede, said gospel music plays a key role in strengthening faith and offering hope to believers across communities.

He said MFM gospel music productions were designed to inspire and provide comfort to listeners facing difficulties.

Another cleric, Pastor Moses Adebowale of MFM Lekki Mega Axis, spoke on the theme “Engaging the Weapon of Praise for Exploits,” describing praise as a spiritual tool capable of bringing deliverance, healing and breakthroughs.

He urged Nigerians not to limit worship to moments of testimony, but to maintain continuous praise regardless of circumstances.

Citing biblical references, he mentioned the stories of Jehoshaphat and Paul and Silas as examples of victory through praise.

Earlier, organisers said the concert was aimed at promoting unity among believers and encouraging positive values among youths and families through gospel music.

The Mega Regional Administrator, Pastor Oluwafunmilayo Ojo, and planning committee member Sister Toyin Bawa-Allah said the concert was designed to foster unity among believers and attract people from different backgrounds into a shared atmosphere of peace.

The Mega Regional Choir Leader, Olakunle Oladapo, described music as therapeutic, saying it contributes to emotional, physical, cognitive and social well-being.

Participants described the programme as uplifting and inspiring, noting that gospel music helps them cope with emotional and personal challenges.

The concert featured performances from multiple choirs and gospel groups, including MFM regional choirs from Ajah, Lekki, Festac, Lagos Island, Abijo, Prayer City, and Onike, as well as other musical groups.

Organisers said the event would continue to serve as a platform for spiritual growth, talent expression and community bonding.
