Nollywood Mourns Alexx Ekubo as Emotional Service of Songs Holds in Lagos

One month after the passing of Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo from metastatic kidney cancer on May 11, his colleagues including Funke Akindele, IK Ogbonna and Ini Edo gathered at a Lagos venue for his service of songs.
IK Ogbonna delivered a tearful eulogy, speaking emotionally about reaching for a phone that would never connect again, while Ekubo’s young children led Bible readings that deeply moved those in attendance.
The event blended profound grief with small human moments, including a lost phone and appeals for less filming, all against the backdrop of a man remembered for his exceptional kindness.
His burial is scheduled for June 18 in Abia State.
Goodbye bro..
Your smile remains even in your absence..
You are free from the cares of this world..
