Photos of the three-storey Lagos shopping complex before it collapsed


A resident, Esther Udoh, has shared the before photos of the three-storey shopping complex that collapsed in the Alakija area of Lagos-Badagary Expressway.
The building, which housed shops and business premises, collapsed on Thursday, June 25, 2026.
Udoh, who also shared a video of herself at the scene, said a friend’s nephew who was trapped has been rescued
No fewer than eight persons, including an infant girl, have been confirmed d3ad following the collapse.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency disclosed that 26 other victims were rescued from the rubble as emergency responders continued search and rescue operations at the scene.
