Putin puppet issues horror missile threat to 1 UK town – ‘blow up the factory’

A top Kremlin propagandist has issued a chilling threat against a UK town, calling for a missile strike on the factory behind one of the UK’s most important weapons systems. Vladimir Solovyov, one of Vladimir Putin’s most prominent state TV mouthpieces, suggested Russia should target Stevenage in Hertfordshire over the fact that British-made Storm Shadow missiles are made there, which have been used in Ukrainian attacks against Russian military targets.

Speaking on Russian state television, Solovyov questioned why Moscow had not retaliated directly against the UK, saying he did not understand why Russia did not “hit the Storm Shadow factory in the UK”. The comments are understood to be directed at defence giant MBDA, whose UK headquarters and major manufacturing facility are based in Stevenage. The Hertfordshire site plays a central role in Britain’s missile industry and is involved in the development and production of some of the UK’s most advanced weapons systems.

MBDA UK employs thousands of people across its British operations and is responsible for missiles including Storm Shadow, Brimstone, ASRAAM, Meteor and the Sea Ceptor air defence system. It also operates other sites in Bolton and Bristol.

“Every time I read about another [British-made] Storm Shadow missile strike deep into Russia, I genuinely don’t understand why we don’t hit the Storm Shadow factory in the UK,” Solovyov said, according to LADBible. “What’s the problem?”

This is not the first time Solovyov has spoken out against Britain. In a rant last year, he suggested that the Kremlin attack UK leaders, after Sir Keir Starmer condemned the latest round of strikes on Ukraine. He said: “So maybe [if] they are there today or tomorrow, we can hit them?

“Well, it is possible, right? What’s the problem? They are making plans against us. They gathered, all of Russia’s main enemies are there now. Can they be hit then? Well, that’s normal…”

MBDA’s Stevenage site is considered one of the UK’s most strategically important defence manufacturing hubs. Alongside facilities in Bristol and Bolton, it supports the production and integration of missile systems used by the British Armed Forces and allied nations.

Storm Shadow is a long-range precision cruise missile jointly developed by Britain and France. The weapon has become one of Ukraine’s most effective deep-strike capabilities since being supplied by Western allies, enabling attacks against Russian military infrastructure far behind the front line. It uses advanced guidance and a specialised penetrating tandem warhead to destroy high-value, heavily fortified static targets.

While Solovyov’s remarks do not represent official Russian military policy, they are the latest in a series of increasingly aggressive threats directed at Britain and other NATO countries supporting Ukraine.

It comes shortly after the head of the intelligence agency GCHQ, Anne Keast-Butler, said Moscow is “scaling up its daily hybrid activity against the UK and Europe,” having already violated the airspace of a number of European countries. Many have suggested that Putin is testing NATO’s resolve in anticipation of World War 3.
