Shakira and Burna Boy deliver electric performance of ‘Dai Dai’ to kick off the FIFA 2026 World Cup (video)

Colombian star Shakira and Nigerian singer Burna Boy thrilled fans with a high-energy performance of their song “Dai Dai” at the opening ceremony of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Shakira opened her set after J Balvin and launched into the tournament’s official song, delivering her signature dance moves to an excited crowd on Thursday, June 11.
Burna Boy soon joined her on stage as they both thrilled the audience.
The pair danced along to their Afrobeats-inspired track, performing atop an enormous turquoise-and-yellow flag that covered the field and read: “We are ready.”
“Dai Dai” is the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 song. It also supports the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to expand access to education worldwide.

The performance ended with both artists at center stage leading the crowd in the song’s closing refrain: Dale, allez, let’s go.
Their set was one of the standout moments of the opening ceremony and set the tone for the month-long tournament.
