President Bola Tinubu, speaking at the commissioning of the OSEX road linking Villa Roundabout to Ring Road I, declared that his administration has brought an end to the tradition of abandoned projects, commending FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for delivering the project following earlier phases completed in 2024.
He urged residents to protect public assets and fulfil their tax obligations to enable further development, as Nigeria grapples with a history of over 11,000 stalled projects attributed to poor planning and funding gaps.
While the pledge drew skepticism online given that the administration is already three years in office, Tinubu tied the commissioning to his Renewed Hope Agenda as Abuja continues to expand its population and infrastructure needs.
