Tinubu’s reforms need sustained grassroots advocacy, says APC chieftain

Prince Ikim, Akwa Ibom state coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, says sustained grassroots advocacy is needed to deepen public understanding of the reforms being implemented by President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Ikim spoke on Friday while receiving members of the Tinubu Torchbearers led by Inyene Bassey, state coordinator, during a courtesy visit to the Renewed Hope Ambassadors campaign headquarters in Uyo.
Ikim commended the group for its grassroots mobilisation efforts and support for the policies of the Tinubu administration.
He said support groups have a responsibility to enlighten citizens on government programmes and reforms.
Ikim said Nigeria is undergoing significant transformation under Tinubu’s leadership through reforms aimed at stabilising the economy, strengthening institutions and creating opportunities for citizens.
His words: “Today, Nigeria is on the path of transformation under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. Bold and strategic reforms are being implemented to stabilise the economy, strengthen institutions, create opportunities for citizens, and lay the foundation for long-term prosperity.
“While every reform process comes with challenges, the Renewed Hope Agenda remains a clear roadmap for rebuilding confidence, promoting inclusive growth, and securing a better future for Nigerians. We commend the President for his courage, resilience, and commitment to nation-building.”
Ikim also praised First Lady Oluremi Tinubu for her advocacy on women’s empowerment and inclusive participation in governance.
He further commended Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom, for what he described as impactful leadership through the ARISE Agenda.
Ikim said the Renewed Hope Ambassadors are guided by a principle of coordinated communication and mobilisation.
He stated: “As Renewed Hope Ambassadors, we are guided by a clear principle of one party, one message, one mobilisation framework. This principle reflects our commitment to unity, discipline, and strategic engagement.
“It ensures that we speak with one voice, communicate government policies effectively, and mobilise support across our communities in a coordinated and responsible manner.”
He urged members of the Tinubu Torchbearers to remain committed to promoting the Renewed Hope Agenda through constructive engagement.
“I therefore encourage members of the Tinubu Torchbearers to remain steadfast ambassadors of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“Continue to engage our people with facts, civility, and patriotism. Let your conduct reflect the values of responsible leadership, respect, and constructive dialogue,” he said.
