Troops Recover Seven Rifles, Motorcycles in Delta Raid on Abandoned Police Station

Troops of Headquarters 63 Brigade/Sector 1 Joint Task Force, South South, operating under Operation Delta Safe, have recovered seven rifles and two motorcycles during a raid on an abandoned police station in Ibusa, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State.
The operation was carried out on June 4, 2026, based on credible intelligence, as part of ongoing efforts to rid the state of criminal elements.
Brigade Commander Brigadier General Moronfolu Abdulmoshood Shonibare commended the troops for their professionalism and resilience, urging them to maintain the current operational momentum and keep up sustained pressure on criminal networks in the area.
He reaffirmed the formation’s commitment to denying criminals freedom of movement and operation, and issued a stern warning to individuals and groups found harbouring arms or engaging in criminal activities that they would face the full force of the law.
