Young man d!es after allegedly st@bbing himself to demonstrate spiritual powers

A young man popularly known as Sheihu, believed to be in his early twenties, has reportedly d!ed in Ghana after allegedly st@bbing himself while attempting to demonstrate what he claimed were spiritual powers.

The incident is said to have occurred on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 during a programme organised by some youth as part of activities marking the annual Fire Festival in Salaga, the East Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region.

According to eyewitnesses, the deceased allegedly used a knife on himself before a crowd in an apparent attempt to prove his supernatural abilities.

He reportedly sustained severe injuries during the act and was rushed to the Salaga Government Hospital for treatment.

However, he was later pronounced d3ad, throwing the community into shock and mourning.

The incident has sparked discussions among residents, with many expressing concern over the dangers associated with such demonstration.

Authorities are expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
