âMy father has been missing for 26 years. Now my children keep asking about their grandfatherâ â Gospel singer Lekan Remilekun opens up

Nigerian gospel singer Lekan Remilekun has shared the heartbreaking story of his father, saying he has been missing for the past 26 years.
Speaking during an interview on the Talk to B podcast, the singer revealed that his father, Remilekun Amos, disappeared in November 2000 after travelling to Akure for a gospel ministration and was never seen again.
Lekan said the pain of not knowing what happened to his father has never gone away, adding that it has become even more emotional now that his own children keep asking him about their grandfather.
Quoting a Yoruba proverb, he said losing a loved one is painful, but not knowing whether they are alive or dead is an even heavier burden to bear.
