APM Oyo South senatorial candidate hosts Adekanmbi, Salawu

The Oyo South senatorial candidate of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM), Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide Odidiomo, on Wednesday, received the Oyo State governorship candidate of the party, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, and his running mate, Engr. Muftau Open Salawu, as the party’s statewide appreciation and consultation tour arrives in Ibadan on Wednesday.
The event, held at the Jogor Events Centre, Ibadan, brought together party leaders, executives, elected officials, candidates, youth and women groups, as well as supporters of the APM from across the Ibadan North-west and Ibadan South-west federal constituency.
The visit, according to a statement made available to newsmen, forms part of the ongoing statewide thank-you tour embarked upon by the Adekanmbi/Salawu campaign team following their emergence as the party’s governorship and deputy governorship candidates ahead of the 2027 general election.
The tour is aimed at appreciating party faithful for their support during the nomination process while consolidating party unity and grassroots mobilisation across the state.
According to Olajide’s special adviser, media and public affairs, Tolu Mustapha, the APM senatorial candidate described the visit as another milestone in the party’s resolve to consolidate its growing acceptance across the state through continuous consultation, unity, and inclusive leadership.

The federal lawmaker noted that the choice of the Ibadan North-west/Ibadan South-west federal constituency as one of the strategic stops on the statewide tour showcases the political importance of the constituency and its contributions to the growth and stability of the APM in Oyo State.
According to him, the visit provides another opportunity for party members and stakeholders to interact directly with the party’s governorship standard-bearer, exchange ideas, and reaffirm their commitment towards building a formidable political platform capable of offering purposeful leadership to the people of the state.
“We are delighted to welcome our governorship candidate, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, and his deputy, Engr. Muftau Open Salawu, to Ibadan North-west and Ibadan South-west federal constituency. Their visit is not only a demonstration of appreciation to party members but also an expression of the leadership’s commitment to inclusive consultation and grassroots participation as we prepare for the 2027 general election,” Olajide said.
He called on party leaders, ward executives, youths, women and supporters of the party across the federal constituency to turn out in large numbers for the reception, describing the occasion as an opportunity to further strengthen the bond among members and the party’s grassroots structures.
