Popular reality TV star and actress, Bisola Aiyeola, has opened up about how unchecked loyalty once led her to take sides in conflicts that weren’t hers.
Speaking during a recent interview shared online, the actress explained that she used to take on the beefs and fights of loved ones, friends and colleagues, often without hearing the other party’s side, but stopped after being left as an outsider when someone whose beef she had inherited eventually reconciled with the person involved.
While she said she doesn’t expect her friends to inherit her own conflicts, she maintained that it would be unfair for them to remain close to, or date, someone she previously had a falling out with.
She explained that she has, on several occasions, taken up fights that weren’t hers, extending this not just to close friends but also to acquaintances and colleagues, sometimes without getting the other side of the story.
She recalled a situation where she inherited someone’s conflict only to be left out once the parties reconciled, prompting her to become more selective about whose battles she takes on.
She added that although she doesn’t expect the same loyalty in return, she has cut ties with men who dated or clashed with her close friends, using the example of an ex-fiancé to illustrate that she would not remain friends with someone who chooses to bond with such a person.
I have been in a situation where I have taken a fight that are not mine , I do inheriting my best friends beef to an extent
