BREAKING: Chelsea’s Maxence Lacroix To Wear Chalobah’s No 23 Shirt
Chelsea’s new defender Maxence Lacroix is set to wear the club’s No. 23 shirt following the completion of his move to Stamford Bridge, with the jersey becoming available as Trevoh Chalobah closes in on a switch to Italian side Como.
The shirt number was previously occupied by Chalobah, who is now on the verge of completing his transfer to the Serie A club.
His expected departure will allow Lacroix to take over the number as he begins his Chelsea career.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano on X on Sunday, “Maxence Lacroix will wear the No. 23 shirt at Chelsea following the completion of his move.
“The number becomes available as Trevoh Chalobah closes in on a transfer to Como.
“Chalobah is now on the verge of completing his move to the Serie A side, paving the way for Lacroix to inherit the shirt.”
Lacroix is expected to provide further defensive options for Chelsea’s squad after establishing himself as a reliable centre-back during his time at Crystal Palace.
Meanwhile, Chalobah’s proposed move to Como is nearing completion, with the defender set to begin a new chapter in Serie A after his time at Stamford Bridge.
