Disturbing bodycam video shows aftermath as Florida woman is mauled by 12ft alligator

A Florida deputy’s desperate effort to rescue a 31-year-old woman who suffered a devastating alligator attack last weekend has been documented in newly released bodycam footage.

The harrowing video shows the officer racing through thick vegetation on Sunday before reaching the sandy shoreline of the Econlockhatchee River, where Brittany Clark had been savagely attacked by a 12-foot gator while swimming with her boyfriend moments earlier.

Clark and another individual—believed to be her boyfriend, Chance Allison—can be seen beneath a tarp near the water’s edge.

The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office deputy urgently retrieves a tourniquet before the footage ends. The severity of Clark’s injuries was described by the 911 caller, who stated “both her arms are dislocated” and “one arm is completely off.”

According to Brittany’s friend, one arm was “hanging by a thread,” reports The Mirror US.

When the dispatcher asked about the other arm’s whereabouts, the friend responded, “Gone.”

Chance informed the operator that the attack was “bad, real bad” and begged emergency responders to “please hurry.

“She’s losing a lot of…” he trailed off. He explained to the operator that the gator ultimately “went away” but left Brittany with “horrible” injuries.

He stated that he and the companion had dragged Brittany from the water. “We’re far off the trail, we’re off of a little launch area by the river… We need help now!” he urged the operator.

Beyond her passion for outdoor activities and operating bulldozers, Clark was also drawn to rave culture and cherished her felines, Shady and Hokulani.

She was wading in roughly three feet of water in the Econlockhatchee River when an alligator fatally attacked her. The reptile employed a “death roll” maneuver during the attack.

Despite Allison’s desperate attempts, his beloved succumbed to her injuries. In a heartfelt Facebook tribute posted Wednesday that featured numerous photos of the couple, Allison expressed, “I’m just still in disbelief of what took place. We had so many things planned out and memories to be made.”

The medical examiner’s report confirmed that Clark died en route to the hospital after suffering “multiple blunt force injuries to the upper extremities.”

The document further indicated that upon first responders’ arrival at the scene, Clark exhibited a faint, “thready” pulse.

During the investigation, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission apprehended and euthanized two alligators measuring 13 feet and 12.5 feet in length.
